The focus of this lesson is to give kids a “tour” of the solar system and beyond, to give them a taste of the vastness and awesomeness of what is “out there”, and to hopefully perk their interest in pursuing further knowledge. You can choose what facts are significant for them to commit to memory.
Structure of the Solar System

Note that in addition the eight planets from our school days there is an astroid belt (between Mars and Jupiter) and a Kuiper belt (of which Pluto is a one of many). Surrounding the entire solar system is an Oort Cloud of comets. Short videos describing each of these in a bit more detail are here:
