      Hello,
I hope I am posting in the correct space. I am in book one with my children, but I would like to purchase a microscope for book two. Are there any suggestions as to which one to buy?
      Thank you

      Hello Sherrie,
Kids should have plenty of experience with pocket magnifiers before proceeding to a microscope. Then, the general type of microscope you want is shown here:

You may wish to go up from here and get a mechanical stage and diaphragm condenser for better control of light, and other features as you may desire. Of course you will need slides, coverglasses, etc.

Please ask further questions as you wish.

      Hello,
I know you get a lot of questions about microscopes, and have seen your recommendations, so I apologize for adding another to your list. I received the below as a gift and was wondering how it will fair for an 8 year about to start volume 2. If it is ok for a few lessons, at what level or lesson should I opt for a better quality? Or should I simply let her “play” with this one and get a better version now?

      Thanks for your help!
