Kids will have the best and most memorable learning experience by collecting and observing their own pond water samples under a microscope. Be sure their samples include bits of decaying material and “gunk” at the very edge of the pond. For identification of organisms found, type into your browser:

Most of what you/your kids find can be identified on one or more of the charts found.
