Discuss how each case is an assemblage of plants, animals, and microbes interacting with each other and the abiotic environment in such a way as to sustain the assemblage over indefinite time.
Conspicuously omitted to this point has been discussion regarding how a balance of populations is maintained. This will be addressed in the following lesson, B-32.
