Note the clear sky (no smokestacks emitting greenhouse gases) and absence of pollution surrounding plants. (The large conical structures are cooling towers for condensing steam back to water.)
There are currently 92 such plants operating in the US producing 15-20% of our (US) electrical power. Most of these plants were built and came on line between 1970 and 1990. Little more since then.
