Inventions inspired by nature

Great ideas for new technologies often don’t just occur to special people (inventors). They come from those people carefully observing nature and asking, “How does the plant/animal do that”? Or, “Why does it have that feature? This is something we all can do. Then, investigation of how the plant/animal does it, provides the basic idea(s) for a new technology.
